Fredetta "Kay" Shepard A long time resident of Austin passed away in her home on April 29, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00pm on May 25, 2024 at: Church of Conscious Harmony 7406 Newhall Lane Austin, Texas 78746 Kay was born in Terre Haute, Indiana to Mary Ellen Edington and Fred Shephard. She spent her early years in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Bryan Adams High School. She could not wait to attend the University of Texas in Austin. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Kay raised her son Dylan Crowell in Austin, which preceded her in death in 2018. He blessed her with the greatest gift of a granddaughter named Roan, who Kay loved dearly. Kay is survived by her granddaughter Roan; Sister Kathy Hill and husband Bobby; and several Nieces and Nephews.
