Our beloved Merced Elizalde Cortez Jr. was called home, on Friday, August September 8, 2023 Merced is survived his parents, Merced Elizalde Cortez Benitez and Marina Cotez; and siblings Gerardo Elizalde Cortez and Emily Ruby Elizalde Cortez; as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln., Austin, Texas, 78752; Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5909 Reicher Dr, Austin, TX 78723; Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704.
