Raul Duncan Hernandez

Raul Duncan Hernandez was born November 11,1982 in Austin, Tx at St. David Hospital, to Raul and Cheryl Hernandez. As a child, He fell in love with nature as he tagged along with his dad and brothers for countless hours in the woods and fishing holes. Throughout the years his passion for the outdoors became his favorite past time.

He graduated from Manor High School in 2001. After he graduated, he worked for The City of Plfugerville, The Texas Railroad Commision, and the Texas School for the Blind. Soon after, he became self employed doing what he loved; working on ranches and taking care of his cows.

On January 7, 2023, Raul was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He wholeheartedly accepted the diagnosis and believed God would heal him. He fought bravely against his illness and never lost his positive spirit, but the Lord had other plans. He was taken home peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

His last words were I am sorry, Mom, I tried!”

Although he is no longer with us, we take comfort in knowing, he is not suffering and is now at peace. His sense of humor, loving- caring nature and his kindness, will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him.
