Our beloved Maria Gomez Mendoza was called hom on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.
She is preceded by her loving husband of 70 beautiful years, Genaro Gutierrez; three angel babies; her son, Jose Gutierrez Gomez; and 4 siblings.
Maria is survived by her children, Julian Gutierrez Gomez (Leonarda), Socorro Gutierrez Gomez, Guadalupe Gutierrez Gomez (Froylan Patño), Jesus Gutierrez Gomez (Antonia Acosta), Dionicia Gutierrez Gomez, Angela Gutierrez Gomez (Dionicio Vasquez), Maria Conception Gutierrez Gomez (Juan Archundia), Genaro Gutierrez Gomez (Cirenia Gutierrez), Adan Gutierrez Gomez (Yecenia Cornejo); sister, Modesta Gomez Mendoza; 40 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning 6:00 p.m. followed by Mariachi at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln., Austin, Texas, 78752; Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 11:00 at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, 10068 Burklund Farms Rd, Austin, TX 78719, with interment following at Assumption Cemetery.
