DeShawn was preceeded in death by both parents, and his big brother, Johnnie "Teenie". He is survived by siblings, Mary "Ann", Diane, Ray Ray, Ashley, JB, and his only child Kennedi. Also a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you Walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor Will the flame burn you."
