Obituary of JoAnn Ali

Our beloved JoAnn Ali, age 57, sunrise: February 11, 1965; sunset: July 18, 2022 passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family.  She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Jolanda Zapata, Booker T. Lofton, and Eloise Martinez and her brother, Eugene Perez.

JoAnn is survived by her children, Jessica Ali-Burris (Luther), Marcus Ali (Ka'Sheda), and Zachary Ali; her treasured grandson, DeMarkus Ali; her long time partner, Harry Alvarado; her sister, Deborah Mora; her brothers, Martin Lofton and Andrew Coy; the father of her children, Smart Ali, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Final Viewing will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 302 W. 11th St., Elgin, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery, 305 Ochoa St., Elgin, Texas.
